As both an executive and consultant, she has worked with media and entertainment companies, tech startups, consumer brands, not-for-profits, and content innovators to develop strategies that resonate with consumers and create tangible value for stakeholders.
Notable corporate roles include Candlewick Press/Walker Books Vice President of Marketing, Licensing & Development, USA Vice President of Tokyo-based talent agency Creek & River (Nikkei JP: 4763), and Sales/Marketing Director for award-wining Deepa Studio, where she shepherded multi-million dollar brand projects with Nike and Pfizer before launching the studio’s branded healthcare initiative with pediatric institutions nationwide. She served as Head of Business Development for the pioneering Bay Area motion-capture animation studio Protozoa, interim CMO/CBDO for Nukotoys, a Unity-based mobile gaming + connected toy developer showcased by Apple, and as Executive Producer of American Storytellers on PBS.
Her track record of successes include projects and partnerships with a diverse array of brand and content leaders including Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures, Classic Media/Dreamworks Classics, Blue Sky Studios/Fox Feature Animation, Noggin, SpikeTV, Comedy Central, Discovery Kids, PBS Kids, Bank of America, Kanematsu, Estee Lauder, Bonnier Corporation,Creative Artists Agency, Discovery Communications, Sesame Workshop, BBC America, Toei Animation, Sony and SEGA.
She has orchestrated revenue-driving licensing programs taking content brands into consumer products, apparel, books, film, television, digital, live theatre, console and mobile gaming. Her consumer brand campaigns that included significant domestic retail online/in-store programs with Barnes & Noble, Target, Wal-Mart, Amazon, Toys-R-Us and Apple, as well as global product releases in partnership with international licensors, distributors, and app stores.
She was a co-founder and Board of Directors Vice President of Step Up Women’s Network New York, a 15,000+ member organization dedicated to propelling girls from under-resourced communities to fulfill their potential http://www.suwn.org/, is an active member of the Women’s Media Group of NYC, and is on the Children’s Advisory Committee for consumer data leader Nielsen Entertainment.
